Brazelton Residence
Houston, Texas
The new owners, a young couple with two small children, asked us to remove a wall between the kitchen and dining rooms of the original house as part of a two phased renovation. Douglas-fir beams and columns were used to provide support and to extend the material continuity of the original “transparent links.” The change opens existing spaces, directly connects the kitchen, living, and dining rooms and visually connects the kitchen with the screened porch and fireplace. Phase two of the renovation includes additions and changes to the master pavilion. |
