Don Royse
Principal, Don Royse heads up our Seattle office and travels regularly to our Houston office. Don brings to the practice a background in architecture and urban planning. Former Chairman of the Seattle Design Commission, he received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of California at Berkeley and his PhD in Urban Design & Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is Professor Emeritus at Washington University in St. Louis. While in St. Louis, in addition to his practice with Royse/Eageton Architects, he was Full Professor there, and Chairman of the Master's Program in Architecture & Urban Design and Director of Inter-Disciplinary Studies. He was appointed and served as the first Director of Urban Design for the City of St. Louis and worked in that capacity from 1991-1994 during a sabbatical from his teaching responsibilities, and before relocating to Seattle.
